Class & Workshop News

• CALLIGRAPHY:  The NEW 3-week Calligraphy class taught by Emily Kouris starts this Thursday, February 20 from 10am – 12pm.  Register online here, or you can email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, or sign up in person.

• VILLANELLE POEMS: Poetry class meets on Thursdays from 10:30am – 12pm online and in person. The topic for this week is villanelle poems.  No experience necessary.  You may attend even if you missed previous weeks. • WATERCOLORS with LIONEL: Lionel Sanchez will be at the LEC to lead a Watercolor Workshop on Saturday, February 22 from 10am – 1 pm. This is an in-person only workshop.  There will be NO walk-ins for this workshop.

Club News

• WALKING CLUB: Monday, February 17 at Lowry Park. To carpool, meet at the LEC at 9 am and leave the LEC at 9:10 am.  To meet the group at Lowry Park, follow signs towards the boat ramp. We’ll gather in parking area closest to the boat ramp by 9:30am.  Anyone interested in joining the Monday morning Walking Club outing this week, please email Arleen at grants@lectampa.org for details. Include your cell phone number.

• YARN CLUB:  The Yarn Arts Club will meet in the LEC Library on Wednesday, February 19 from 10 am – 12pm.  Bring a project and join the fun!

• PHOTO CLUB: The February Photo Club meeting will be online on Wednesday, February 19 from 1:30 am – 12pm.   Remember to submit your Eureka Springs photos to Dave.

• BOOK CLUB 2.0  The new Book Club will meet in person on Monday, February 24 from 10am – 12pm in the LEC Library to discuss the mystery/suspense novel, The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. Everyone is welcome to join.

Other LEC News

• FINAL PLEIN AIR: The final Plein Air gathering (for now) will be Monday, February 24 around 8:30am. Meet by the clubhouse at Al Lopez Park.  Any medium welcome.  Bring all your own supplies.

• ANTHOLOGY SALE! Creative Fire: Embers and Ashes anthologies Vol. XXIV or earlier are now available at the LEC for only $1 each!
